A Fashion and Apparel Design course is one of kinds that covers the art of designing beautiful clothing and fashion accessories.Fashion design has become highly competitive today as all of us are in need to present ourselves as per the requirement of the career or job opportunities we look for.
Besides clothing, fashion designers create fashion accessories like jewellery, hand bags, head wears, shoes and footwear etc.
We believe that to master the skills in designing field students require both theoretical and practical exposure. With the help of professionals, college conducts guest lectures and workshop related to art work and also making of various types of accessories. College also provides platform to exhibit the products developed and in showcasing the garments designed in our annual fashion show programme. The college is affiliated to Bengaluru City University and follows the National Educational Policy formulated in the year 2021-2022.
In the course of Fashion and Apparel Design students are taught basic design elements & principles, textile science, basics of pattern making, printing and dyeing of textiles, fashion illustration and design, garment constructions, garment surface ornamentation, fashion CAD Software, fashion marketing & Management, draping, Visual merchandising etc.
Apart from these college also organises field visits to textile and garment industries within the city and educational trips to other states, to provide practical knowledge of theoretical subjects.
These skills will help students to acquire complete knowledge to build better Career under a full-fledged UG programme of 3-4 years.
